Avenier Cornejo architectes Paris
Christelle Avenier and Miguel Cornejo studied together at the École Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris Malaquais. After their diploma, they alternated between assignments for Mathias Klotz (Santiago, Chile), Douglas Deremer Architecte (San Francisco, USA) and other French agencies such as François Roche (R&Sie(n)), XTU, Jacques Ferrier or Galiano & Simon – before founding their own office in Paris.
After a winning project for the Électra Grant (EDF) in ValparaÍso, Chile, followed by projects for private individuals, they were commissioned by the public sector in 2007 for a facility and social housing. In the wake of this, Avenier Cornejo completed a private house in Orsay, housing for Siemp and Efidis, a young workers‘ home plus a kindergarten for Rivp in Paris, Zac des Lilas and on the Clichy Batignolles Zac, the macro lot E8, Paris 17.
Their approach is inventive, without preconceptions or prejudices. Each project gives rise to a reflection, each expectation has several answers, but the aim of any architectural desire is to provoke a fertile reaction.
