In Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus’s 15th district, along the railway line, you’ll find Rosinagasse 16, a place where a unique basketball court occupies a public space. Despite its unconventional design and layout, this court serves as a central meeting point for people from various backgrounds, fostering neighborly interactions.
The project „My neighbour has (almost) everything“ highlights the significance of this social space while preserving the basketball court’s existence. It also extends the use of this area as an extension of one’s own living space. Three structures, inspired by the existing built environment, engage in a dialogue with the surroundings both architecturally and functionally. This shared space includes not only the basketball court but also various spatial offerings within the buildings.
